Beginning in 1976, we have been guiding the 21st Century Family, the stepfamily to help it function successfully.
No other individual or organization has devoted themselves full time to the management of this complex family system.
How Does It Work?
Why do other professionals report such poor results? They have been trained ONLY to work with the biologically connected family. “This is like trying to play chess with the rules of checkers,” says Lofas.
She is mindful of each person’s point of view, teaches feuding clients to honor the other’s point of view and then moves to developing a mutually agreed upon structure for the couple and the family. Roles, rules, responsibilities, forms, norms manners and order are just some of the results.
Lofas’s work is more like coaching than counseling; she works much like a business management consultant. She moves gently but directly into the stepfamily-threatening issues.
Her concern is to solve at least one issue the first session. We attribute our 84% success rate to our unique methodology and management plan.
