Founder and President, Dr. Jeannette Lofas, PhD, LCSW, has received a Presidential Award, written five books, and has 30 plus years working only with stepfamilies, training and supervising professionals. Dr. Lofas has counseled over 5,000 clients and trained over 1,800 professionals worldwide.
We Offer Two Options For Certification:
1. Attend a Seminar offered in April and October in NYC:
Stepfamily Foundation Certification Seminars consists of two days of lectures, exercises, working with actual step issues, video and six hours of preparatory reading, plus homework. Groups are limited to less than 12 people.
The One-on-One certification consists of Dr. Lofas' books, written, audio and video materials. And, four hours of individual time with Dr. Lofas via Skype or phone, plus of preparatory reading and homework.

- Creating "Couple strength".
- Co-parenting Plans for ex spouses.
- Creating house rules.
- Roles, Responsibilities, Rules, Rituals and Money.
- Managing discipline differences between the couple and/or the exes.
- Special techniques for working with the stepmother, divorced father, exes, children
- Male/Female Differences: a secret cause for break up.
- The specifics of telephone coaching.
- Skills, materials and techniques to grow your business.
- Uncommon communication techniques.
- Stepmom - the most important and difficult role: classic challenges, boundaries, couple disputes.
